Construction KANNAPOLIS – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will be working on the roundabouts at the Interstate 85/Lane Street interchange the week of July 29. This work will be handled in two phases. The first phase will start at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, affecting traffic exiting I-85 North to head east on Lane Street. The inside lane of the eastern roundabout will be closed until 6 a.m. Saturday, August 3 while crews remove and replace existing concrete, allowing time for it to cure.
