Alan: Hwy 93 was shut down both ways about 6 miles north of Wells,Late Sunday afternoon. Involved were a large semiwith trailer and s medium sized white SUV. It happened about 2pm and the red Life Flight Helo arrived,the State Highway Patrol staff and Wells FD Rescue truck crew were trying to extricate the female victim in the SUV. The chopper was there, landing on the highway and waiting for nearly 45 minutes til the workers could finally get the woman out and into the helo.
Both vehicles were 'off road right' up against the 'deer fence' in high winds and blowing snow. It appeared that one of the vehicles may have crossed the center line and a 'head on' accident occurred.
The remains of the SUV were destroyed so as to be unable to determine the 'make'. I'm sure the Nevada State Highway patrol will have further details to reveal in the morning. 1 year ago > REPLY
